Apron Improvements (in progress)

Skagit Regional Airport – Skagit WA

Skagit Regional Airport is located in Northwest Washington and in the heart of the Skagit Valley.  This area is known for its world-famous tulip fields and annual tulip festival, as well as its proximity to the beautiful San Juan Islands. The Port of Skagit County owns the Airport, and they identified a need to increase aircraft parking capacity in order to accommodate growth in operations at the Airport.

This project was a multi-phase project and the majority of apron improvements were AIP eligible. The project included site excavation, structural fill embankment, and construction of the new apron pavement section. In addition, the project included:

  • stormwater improvements
  • electrical improvements
  • pavement marking
  • minor fencing
  • utility work
