Apron and Fence Improvements

Corvallis Municipal Airport, Corvallis, Oregon

This apron improvement project expanded the existing apron by 40,000 square feet and provided taxiway access to REACH Air Medical, an air-ambulance helicopter service, as well as future corporate hangars. By knowing both current and future needs of the airport, Precision Approach Engineering designed this project to blend with future apron expansion that would result from planned development of facilities.

Surface drainage and water line improvements were also incorporated into the expansion. Precision Approach Engineering worked with the City on design modifications for the reduction of the extent of the apron construction after bid opening to fit the project within available funding. As part of our client services to the City of Corvallis, Precision Approach Engineering spearheaded the construction services (SDC) in working with the City funding and FAA coordination.
